          I maxed the slide braces out (pushed the front one forward and rear one back) and used 4 flat bottom U bolts to bolt to the racks. 2 U bolts on each rack. I lined the rack brace bottoms with a 5/16" rubber piece cut 1" wide to kill vibration and rattle. Works great.

                  Bill, you sir get the best idea award of the hour! I'm thinking that'll be the best add on. Even better than the Hi-Lift jack because we can use the beer holders while we wait on buddies to bring a jack!

                      Im liking this idea. Been looking for one for my truck but spending $500 on one seems steep to me. I have drawn this DIY in my head a million times. Ill be following in your footsteps soon. I like the idea of a spare tire up there too but it would have to be custom for that.
