This has been a whirl wind of a year so far. 3 days before season I sold my crossfit gym and have been doing FEMA housing inspections from Harvey since. It was my plan to move on from the gym and into my new Home inspection company but not nearly this fast. I've been able to hunt pretty decent as the work has slowed some, I'm still doing the FEMA work as it comes in but I'll be able to hunt a good bit and will start straight in on regular home inspections now. I'm after a giant deer with 17 points in the 170-180 range but he did his usual thing and left 2 months ago for the rut. 4 years of history with this deer and it's the same every year. Last year on November 7 th I had a chance at him but I passed because i was unsure of the low light shot. I decided to start a live thread on the 1 year anniversary of our encounter in hopes that history repeats itself. He's not the only one I'm after and I'll be bouncing around a lot at different properties. I'm not the best live hunt to follow because I don't really shoot a lot and am a man of few words but we'll see what we can get done. I might post a picture of "Buddy" later on in the year but for now I'm going to keep him under wraps. I'm running to college station and will be back in somewhere this afternoon.
