Tonight, weather permitting, we will have a spectacular opportunity to view the ISS. It will have a magnitude of -3.5 which means it will be very bright. You will be able to see it very clearly with the naked eye.
At 8:42pm begin looking SSW and it will be moving almost right overhead towards the NNE. We should be able to see it for nearly 6 minutes. It will appear as a solid bright moving object. No blinking lights like airplanes, no lasers.
One cool fact is the Russian Soyuz that launched on 3/21/18 will be linking up with the ISS today or tomorrow to drop off 3 astronauts who are going to spend 160 days in orbit.
