This one is just a bowl for mom. She wanted a cool wood turned bowl. My first one is sitting on my counter holding keys.

As for selling them? Not sure I want to delve into that realm yet. The above bowl took 3 days and about 7-9 hours of total work time. So at this point its hard to make it worth selling (for me). Maybe when I get better and can knock them out...

        And thanks for the Comment

Looks great. I've been wanting to try my hand at it but I'm afraid I'd like it and then spend a lot of money.

It was not NEAR as expensive as getting into bow hunting . It is more fun than I thought it would be and you get a nice reward out of it. I did not buy the best of the best when it came to the lathe and tools. I have a Harbor Freight lathe and a set of HF gouges. I did buy a good Robert Sorby bowl gouge but that was because of a sale. If you want to get into I would recommend a class at the nearest WoodCraft or Rockler, you will learn alot and findout if it is something you want to do before you buy all the stuff.

I spent about 7-9 hours on this one. I know it can be done quicker but I was taking small cuts and giving my tools time to cool off. It is amazing how hot to bowl gouge can get

Thanks to both of you for the comment

Looks good. You can pick up a cheap wood burner to write your name and stuff on them.

Get you an archival pen and sign the bottom instead of that marks a lot

                      Very nice job!
