Navajo Grill is a 5 star resteraunt my wife at for one of our anniversaries. But, I like Hilltop Cafe. It's 11 miles outside of Fredricksburg on hwy 87. It's also a 5 star resteraunt, and the food is amazing

Crossroads was real good when I ate there a couple years ago, haven't heard any thing bad about it since but can't say it is still what it was then.

We always eat at Friedhelms for the German experience and it is my favorite but I think Navajo Grill is proabably the fancy pancy way to go if thats what you are looking for. Make sure to grab breakfast in the morning (if you are staying the night) at the Old German Bakery and Restaraunt. They have proper sausage roll there that will make you unable to ever again look at a donut shop "sausage kolache" as anything more than a hotdog with donut dough wrapped around it.

My dad swears Bovarian Inn is one of the best steaks he has had.
