    Ghost Buck

Anybody got one one these? We have been getting this buck on camera for 3 years now. This is a low fence South Texas ranch. We are MLD 3 and feed lots of cottonseed and protein. This buck always shows up during the summer and hammers The protein and cottonseed. We have never had a picture of him eating or showing any interest in corn. He shows up early in the mornings between 4-6am usually. This particular stand borders another larger ranch. The water tanks are just behind our setup in thick brush. He is there all the time but once he sheds his velvet.....poof.... Gone. No pictures the rest Of the year. No sightings, nothing. You would think he would show up on a doe during the rut but no. These are the type of smart old bucks that make the chess game of hunting worth wild. So far he has kicked our butt.

Yes, we have one that acts almost the same way. Have 3 years worth of countless pictures. He has never been seen/had his picture taken one single time during the daylight hours.

                That buck is a beast!

Oh dang! Smart old deer! I would have to go out there with some night vision and watch where that joker goes after he is done eating then put cameras all over!
