Suggestions for cabin or lake house?

We typically scoot out of town every year the moment school lets out and go to a lake house or cabin somewhere to just enjoy family time and to close the school year and kick off summer. Typically we go to Lake Livingston, but this year we waited a little too long, and the good lake houses have been scooped up. Does anyone know of a gem or a quiet little spot on another lake or somewhere different we should consider? I’d like to keep it east of SA and south of Dallas if possible. Thanks!
