    Traditional FSC -- Week 45

Let's celebrate the Houston Astros' World Series Championship! Just need a pen and a blank sheet of paper. Draw a star (Astros' logo) about 4 inches tall and wide, with dots on the right, top, and left points of the star to correspond with position of the bases on a field. "Home" dot is larger as shown in pic.

Shoot 3 arrows (like 3 strikes) from 20 yards (pitchers mound is 60'-6"), 15 yds for kids (little league range), aiming for the "Home" spot. Closest arrow to that spot wins call for next week -- measure nearest edge of shaft to spot.

Tiebreaker: total bases of all three arrows, according to which spots each is nearest to. (1st is 1 base, 2nd is 2 bases, 3rd is 3 bases, Home is 4 bases. Add up arrow values for Total Bases.)

I could barely see the spot at 20 yards, lol

          Here's mine. Best was 2-1/16".

Just in case of a tie, the total bases score is: 2 for the top arrow, 3 for the one that hit 3rd, and 4 for the low arrow, for a grand total of 9 Total Bases. The Total Bases aspect will only come into play if no one beats 2-1/16" , and someone ties that distance. Unlikely to matter.

                Thanks.

Needed to practice, so kept shooting, and -- about 30 arrows later -- finished on this "quitter" group. Always try to end on a good shot or shots. Last couple rounds, including these, I moved in to 17 yards.

Never did hit the dang "Home" spot.....

A little rain sprinkle and some gusty wind...it was time to shoot.

                  Shot 1- 9" SW
                  Shot 2- 7 1/2" NE
                  Shot 3- 1 7/8" SW

At 20 yards I couldn't see the lines or the dot. However I may give it a run before the weekend.

Yall just darken home plate a tad and hit a homer or two or three.

Lets see if Rick hits a walkoff grand slam

Second shot I must have dropped a little on the follow through. Fouled it back i guess? Third shot was okay though. Not too bad over all. I dressed up pretty warm to practice in heavier clothes for the season.
