    ice chest repair

Let a guy at work borrow one of my big ice chests. I guess a bag of ice was dropped into the cooler and cracked the bottom. I was thinking about covering the hole with a big glob of silicone. Is there a better way to repair?Click image for larger version

You can weld plastic. Check with a kayak shop, they fix huge holes.

Clean it real good with acetone. Sand it lightly with #600 grit sand paper. Replace it with a Pelican Cooler!

Clean it and try some Sikaflex Construction Sealant

I would goop it up really good with some silicone sealant from Home Depot.
It might look ugly but it stays flexible and will do the job.

My plan was to drill a small hole at the end of each crack so the crack doesn't run, then sand, clean with acsetone, and goop up the crack with jb weld. But now I got some thinkin to do!
