          It looks like a hornest nest but i see bees on the nest... Thats odd because most bees build hives in a hollow log or some type of structure.

            Not sure, but run down to Helotes Tactical & pick up one of those flame throwers & take care of those things!

                        They are hornets, looks like just getting the nest built or something has predated it. Our neighbors found out a water hose will work. We get them occasionally and use the long stream hornet spray.

                              Them honey wasps? If its the hornets, leave it alone till night time and spray with killer. I seen a pony get stung so many times by hornets it died. They bad dudes.
