Not enough detail in the picture. Could be coach whip, rat snake, or one of the water snakes. It is not one of the 4 venomous snakes.

Way too far away and dark to make a for sure ID. I don't think it's a venomous one though. Probably some sort of water snake.

Just what he said. Definitely nonvenomous.

Looks like a water snake to me. But, they have been having some mice issues lately. Maybe not anymore...

The snake is between whoever took the picture and the hoe so maybe he will live. LOL

Racer or Whip is my guess.

Just set him on his way.

Coachwip or Buttermilk Racer, if you want I can come over and relocate.

Whatever kind it is, it for sure is a mouse/rat catchin' machine and it is NOT venomous... Other than the surprise factor, a good one to have hangin' out in the garage.

get a broom and sweep it out of the garage, doesn't look like any poisonous snake. unless it is a cobra, or black mamba.

Looks like a black rat snake that I see often in Centerville,
                              But no expert.
I haven't even stayed at The Holliday inn express lately.
