Shoot a pig or wait for deer?

I shoot pigs anytime I see them. They are way too destructive to get a pass from me.

I had that same issue all the time, never wanted to "ruin" my hunt by shooting a pig. Would not shoot pigs only to have nothing else come. Then started to shoot the pigs when they'd come out and usually ended up seeing deer at some point.

I see it as a perfect opportunity to practice shooting from your setup and make sure that arrow lands where it should before the deer show. Shooting at a target and shooting at a moving live animal are totally different. Practice every chance you get.

Pigs would be in trouble. Haven't sat in my sets all year and I'm getting an itchy release hand!!! Shooting a pig shouldn't bother the deer too much

I was thinking about this same question, I have had a pig showing up about 15 minutes before my 3 bucks in the morning lately. He's making them stay for a shorter amount of time than they did before he was showing up, but I am hesitant to shoot him to scare off those bucks if they're in the area.
