Do you know your neighbor?

I just delivered a package from Jos A bank to my neighbor 3 houses down and had no idea who he was. It’s like 80 yards away.

I’ve been here 8 years and just realized I don’t know anyone’s name on my side of the street for 15 houses. I know 5 people by name that live in my neighborhood that’s a few hundred homes.

Lived in my house for two years now and only know the neighbor to the right of me. He’s a cop so I figured I’d go ahead and get on his good side!

Other than that, I don’t know any of them and kind of want to keep it that way??

Yep. Pretty much all of them...and was very intentional in getting to know them. Someone new moves in and first thing I do is go introduce myself. Being “neighborly” was drilled in me as a youngster.

Funny story but one of them was push mowing their grass in a thong and I missed my turn and almost ran into my mailbox.

My house isnt one to mess around at.

Known most of my neighbors since I was a child.
