I hunted Chap during rifle this year and saw this buck in East Rosindo. My brush blind should still be able to be identified on the Middle East West sendero just East of where the NE/SW sendero crosses it.

I put him right around 150.

Hope he walks your way!

Good Luck!

What a buck Encinal. I set up exactly where your pic is.

I had about 6 different young bucks on camera between the tripod set up and close to where Encinal described his brush blind. Mostly night pics, one mature 8 on cam from 2-4am. Lots of javelina pics. Flu is kicking my butt

Nothing to report here yet - was a cold quiet morning - saw a few small bucks - nothing worthy of grabbing the bow. Was towards the end of the list and ended up in pasture 13 - Cacho I think.

I've been in contact with the hunter who got the first buck, but not sure if he follows TBH.

Default Not drawn

I was there for the standby drawing and didn't get drawn. I have 23 years of preference points on archery and 34 years of preference points for gun on the chaparral. So I guess you could say if it weren't for bad luck I would have no luck at all. Maybe next year!

Just keep putting in! You never know. We got drawn 3 years ago for the gun hunt with just 2 preference points.

The Flu won, I had to go to the med clinic and throw in the towel. Pretty upset, waited over 17 years to hunt this Ranch again. Maybe next year.

I was down there as well. More folks showed up than I figured would be there. The first hunt I think there were 7 cards in the bucket. the 2nd hunt there were 12 cards in.

oh well...good luck guys.

Hang in there...you are due. I've been on one rifle hunt and 2 youth either sex hunts. Wish I knew then what I know now about the place.

Also been on one drawn archery(october 07) and a couple via standby. You'll get there.

I came home empty handed but it was a great hunt. Seemed like the deer had been hunted hard and were very skittish. Same some good ones - just not close enough to launch and arrow. I will continue putting in for this hunt - seems like a magical place!

I was down this last weekend for the Epostcard and they said someone had saw a group of 7 on the last hunt on the west side... but that's it for the year...

I had the entire Rosindo pasture to myself and hunted that same drainage but in the old tripod that was just south of that elevated box stand that was posted the first night and got a javi... saw a lot of deer and a yote also. I set up a tripod on the far west drainage right when you come into the pasture and took a 7yr old doe there... continued to see many many deer along with 3 nice mature bucks 2 of which I am almost certain were posted earlier in this thread.

Great place this was my first drawn hunt in 8 years and the first time I put in for this epostcard
