Default Leather and knife projects

Below are just a few of the latest projects Iíve had the opportunity to create. If you need some knife sheaths worked up for your blade, shoot me a pm and we can talk through it.

The rifle slings were inlayed with Bobcat from a cat a tbhír killed earlier this year...that was a first for me but unique. The rest are some hunting knives I made with custom dream up sheaths tooled to folksí requests. Been to busy to post up so I thought Iíd just share a couple updates of whatís been happening in the shop.

Here are some picks that show the welt design to prevent thread cut through. The fella wanted the belt loop just above the handle so the pommel didnít dig in his gut riding horses.

The sling shows it being a two live construction with build up oval underneath the bobcat. After thatís placed, you have to skive the edges of the bobcat inlay and remove hair. That doesnít make a huge mess!!! Then introduce cement glue next to hair and see what you end up with all over your hands. Haaaaaa. Great fun.

Excellent work as always. I need to see about a new pistol belt getting made by you. The ones out there are really lacking in quality.

Awesome work! Love that blue knife as well.

How are you liking the Cobra Class 4? I want one of those but have absolutely no need for one.

I love it. It was a big expense for me but the thing works like a champ. Feel free to pm if you have any questions about it or price breaks.

Beautiful leather work. I am curious as to why you ran the grain of the bobcat fur up instead of down. Down seems the natural choice to me.

Thanks man, I'm sure it would have worked great either way but that was my preference for the view of the patterning in the hair and it seems to allow you to manage the sling a little more normal without ruffing the hair excessively.

That makes sense. I supppse you do tend to generally apply upward force when readjusting a sling on your shoulder.
