I use Gorilla Glue gel super glue. That stuff sticks like stink to a blanket.
I usually use Loctite Control Gel but I saw that Gorilla glue has a super glue with a control tip and a brush (same bottle). It seems that the small brush would be ideal for applying just the right amount of glue to a vane. I will be trying it in the future.

I've destroyed many a arrow before the feathers even started thinking about lifting. I like the idea of the brush application.
This is something I have been wanting to do for some time so I am going to test several different glues at once to see if I can find a significant difference in them.
If you can work it into your test plan, see how extreme cold temps affect adhesion on both carbon and aluminum. I had a set of arrows drop the fletching after the temps dropped to around 12° one season. I don't remember what glue I used but might have been Goat Tuff or Pine Ridge (?).
What's with all the super glues? It's too hard to get off when you have to re-fletch. If it is because your in a big hurry, you can fletch while watching the game, take the jig outside and fletch while your grilling or just make some time to get it done. Fletching arrows is relaxing. Slow down and smell the glue.
