Used protein feeder question

One of my neighbors has a Boss protein feeder outside his barn. The paint is very faded but from the road it looks good.

It has 4 tubes and looks like it may hold 500 pounds, maybe 1000.

I'd like to see if he'd sell it to me but I don't know what to offer for it. Any suggestions?

I’m my experience, I’d ask what he wants for them and have a price in mind you would pay.

Big difference between 500# and 1000# capacity. Need to know what size it is.

My 275 lb boss feeder is several years old and still works as new.

So I was thinking 50% of new so a 600# Boss new is $570 and a 1200# is $800 at Cabelas and Bass Pro.

And... in looking at it I really think it is an AWS, not a Boss Buck. Either way, depending on the size I'll offer him $300-$400. Thanks y'all!

If it ends up being a boss buck the largest one where you can fill it from the ground is a 600 lb capacity.
