    Stripes on buck?

    Can anyone tell me what these tiger looking stripes are on this bucks back? Searched online and have yet to find the answer. Thanks in advance.

    Stretch marks. Muscled up.to fast from carrying that chain around his neck. Lol.

    Might just be how his hair layed. Can you brush em away with your hand?

                No you cant brush the stripes away. The stripes are a different color/texture of hair.

                My old man shot this deer, and he recently had his foot amputated. The buck weighed 175lbs and went down about a half mile from our cleaning station. It was the only way he could get the deer back, since he was hunting alone.

                    That is a common pattern on the herd we had out west... It's just a natural trait in some deer... according to what our biologist told us many years ago... It was common in bucks and does in our herd...

                              Heck of a buck. I guess like Humans, all mammals have genetic traits that are unique to our blood line. Any other deer on that property have those same hair marks?
