    ITS COUGAR...No, PANTHER!!!!

So I moved in to a new place down by Cedar Creek Lake with a little land. Met the new neighbor and was discussing that I was planning to raise goats. We started talking predators, yotes, etc. He then tells me that he has seen a cougar on his property but hasn't been able to get a clear shot on it. I told him I didn't think there were cougars here but may have been a mountain lion. He said well, maybe that or a panther or something!! Still has me worried about my soon to be livestock. Especially if it is a panther!

All of those names are acceptable and interchangeable. It's when you throw in the word "black" that $%$# gets real.

Well it is Cedar Creek. Cedar Creek = East Texas so you know what that means. Maybe some wolves and bears around too.

Cougar and mountain lion is the same thing. As long as you're talking about the four legged animals.

Pretty common sighted species in east Texas.
