So I was shocked today to have learned that one of our own TBH members quite possibly saved the life of a Bastrop deputy. Interesting enough I had just met this individual while campaigning here.
I spoke with the Sheriff today about the incident. Sounds like a deputy pulled an individual over and a fight broke out. The deputy was not fairing well in the fight, and was just trying to keep the other person from getting his gun. Our gun toting, CHL carrying, TBH member pulled over and drew on the suspect, which allowed the officer to make the arrest.
I'll let him hopefully comment for recognition, as he certainly deserves it! I love it when the good guy prevails. (I wasnt able to find another thread on this, so hopefully it's not a repost.)
