I’ll probably feel stupid once I hear what the are but...

What are they for??

My dad was the king of keeping things for no reason. I feel like they may be something for knives - possibly making knives?

They look like some kind of fingerless glove to cover the palm of the hand.

They're gloves of some sort. I've seen them before but can't remember where or what they're for.

Not that I am aware of. Found them with his old knives and wet stones.

I remember putting a pair of these on when I was a youngster. I don’t remember anything else about them though except I thought they were cool gloves.

You can tell they make a circle with the snaps. Looks like it snaps together. Adjustable with the two rolls on one end. Now for what, I have no clue. But it looks like it’s to protect your palm of you hand though.

Looks like an older version of what is called a "hand guard". It would fit over a cotton glove and still give some type of protection while working. Search around grainger or western safety, you may be able to find something similar.
