Found a bottle of RHF today for $51.99. Also grabbed a Whistle Pig Old World Cask 12yr, interested to see how it is.

If that RHF was a .750ml that’s far less than I paid for the only bottle I’ve ever seen!

Not a super rare find, but made me smile for $33 out the door.

Your doing good when you can find RHF at retail. I picked one up about a month ago for 50$. I see them all the time for 70-100$. I even had a store (crown liqour hwy 59 and 99) offer me a bottle for 250$!! I laughed at him and walked out.

Yeah, no sense in paying that kind of inflated price, if you're patient, you can find some good stuff at or near retail.

I'm beginning to think that supply is starting to reach demand, seeing more and more of the good stuff on the shelf.

As you can see that a couple ounces are missing from the neck, I had a drink last night. I enjoyed it. Now, I'm no bourbon snob, I couldn't tell you what kind of floral scents it has, or how it finished on my palate lol. All I can say is, I like it.

One thing that is a killer for me is any hint of smoky or peaty flavor. I think that's prob why I don't like scotch. This drink had none of that.

Got another one of these this week. Too good not to have in hand.

Found this in Baton Rouge at a casino. Didnít know it was still out there. Spicy, vibrant and big finish.

Opened this bottle I bought a few weeks ago. This might be the most unusual tasting whiskey I have ever had. I canít pinpoint the flavor, but it is unusual.

Unusual good, or unusual bad?? I've been wanting to grab a bottle, but at that price point, 'unusual' doesn't make me want to rush out and grab one...

Last year’s YKY is really enjoyable. I have this year’s, but haven’t opened. There was a user here that didn’t like it, but everyone is different.

Chase; was the EH 4 Grain really good? I got a bottle and am afraid to open.

NDN98; I've had a couple of different HW that I didn't like. Thant said, the Midwinter's Night Dram is one of my mostest Favorite.

roscoe11; I really like the Willet Rye

It wasn't "bad" per se, but it certainly wasn't in my wheelhouse. It is sweet and has a floral taste to it, but their is something else there that I can't identify. I will revisit it later, but right now I would say I am leaning towards not getting another bottle once it is gone. That said, I am mainly a bourbon and Scotch guy and just exploring rye in the last year or so. It certainly doesn't taste like most of the other ryes I have tried and it might be the fact that part of the blend is finished in Vermouth casks.

To me, it tastes almost identical to Elijah Craig 18. Both are both sweet and spicy with a hint of oak, smoke, and vanilla. It's certainly easier to find than Elijah Craig 18, but a lot of store owners want to jack up the prices well above MSRP, which is around $79

I left these at the store for all you NASCAR fans. Heard it had a complex flavor profile of mustache wax, tobacco, oil, and a hint of burnt rubber.
