    BBQ Lifespan

The wife bought some brisket Monday and just found it in the bottom of one of her Christmas bags. It is tightly wrapped in Saran Wrap and has been in the house at ~65* since.

Since it has been smoked, is it still good or do we need to break down and give $50 of brisket to the dogs?

Dry rub and no funky smells.....
Conflicted between the smoking (good) vs the moisture (bad) still in the meat.

Bad. Unless you like trips to emergency room.

I wouldn't be eating it. Four days ago? At room temp? Sounds like the Hershey squirts for at least a week.

Heat it up (Hot) and take a couple bites. I bet it is still good!

I’m not so sure you can make fun of “liberal intellect” and then post up something like this.

If it doesn’t smell “off”, I’d heat it up. If it still doesn’t smell, I’d eat it.

Disclaimer: The human species ate only unrefrigerated meat until about 70 years ago. The government, in creating regulations for the commercial food industry, has inadvertently convinced a large portion of the (otherwise sensible) public that their food is going kill them if it doesn’t stay refrigerated. Hogwash. Your nose is immediately above your pie-hole for ONE reason...
