Shooting Cormorants?

Stocked our pond with about 5000 hybrid Blue/channel catfish. Is it illegal to shoot these birds eating your fish? I’ve been told yes and no

Check w/ the gw on depredation...I think you need a permit. If you don't get a firm answer, I can check w/ the fed gw which where I recall the permit deal but been a while since I inquired.

They can wipe out a pond...turtles suck too.

yeah do NOT kill these birds - even though they are trash - without a permit. Put some T post up around your pond with flagging on them - the movement runs them off

I looked online and it said something about all permits suspended? Would suck if you couldn’t get permit and the dang birds eat all your fish.

Definitely Illegal without permit. I’ve heard 22 mag hollow point works pretty well for the people with permits.

I knew some fish farms in Blessing TX that had permits. But according to them the permits were issued because that was their business. We smashed em good.
