If I only had one tool I would lean towards an axe

Dependant on your budget the Mora Kansbol or Garberg are great options. If you want to beat on the knife instead of using an axe [emoji3] Esee knives have a ton of good hardworking knives. If you have some money to spend the Bark River Aurora in 3v is an amazing knife.

And honestly there are a ton of custom knife makers out there making exceptional knives in super steels for less than a lot of factory offerings. It’s a great time to be a knife nut!

I thought I had a Esee 6 but it’s a 5, this thing is a tank. Feels indestructible, I’ve had it for years but have never cut anything with it. I just hold it and put it back lol I don’t think I’ll ever be in a situation where I would have to use it.

The Glock. Used by a bunch of military and seems sold. You will need to sharpen it, apparently they don't trust armies with sharp objects.
