Needs to be watched...

Looks like a strong wave coming off of Africa sometime around Friday which is the one models are picking up on. Also models showing a monsoon trough developing across the Caribbean in a week or so...that's never good this time of year.

Yep. Johnny pretty much called Harvey a week or more out if I remember correctly.

That is 16 days out...I wouldn't trust anymore more than 5-7, and certainly wouldn't repeat a hype filled forecast like this one.

Check Space City weather guys if you want a reasonable forecast.

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but the GFS has a history of predicting ridiculous storms that never happen.
