Neat video, thank you for sharing it. I'm not a Bear hunter but I think after that encounter I would have had to let him go without a shot. That's just too much of an experience for it to end with either myself or the bear dead.

I'm confused about the bear's behavior. He had to have seen the hunter sitting there in the open with no camo or face mask. I would think the bear would either skedaddle or maybe attack him. He just wandered over to check him out like your neighbors dog would.

I'm guessing these bears don't ever see people, or very rarely do. That's why they can get away with it. Also it my experience bear hunting a lot of the time they know you are there and tolerate you. I have never sat on the ground like that though.
