I have been bowhunting for 15+ years and have never killed in October (for whatever reason). Well tonight I can no longer say that. I did not kill anything spectacular but I put some meat in the freezer and removed some horrible genetics from the heard.
This deer had a bad wound on the top of the left shoulder so it was a no brainer. The Hoyt did me proud at 28.5 DL and a Gold Tip pushing a G5 - T3. Shot was solid and he ran less than 60 yards and piled up. All in All it was a great night and way to start off the season for me.
Sorry I am having trouble uploading the hole from the T3 when I get back to civilization I should be able to.
