What do you think about Brown Top Millet

My Aunt and Uncle have a 4k acre ranch in East Texas and the portion that I hunt just got planted with 30 acres of Brown Top Millet. I have some small food plots out there, but was wondering how well the deer like Millet and what the protein levels are like?

The young plants might get lightly grazed, but once the plants get established the deer shouldn't graze it. Millet grows and matures quickly.

The bright side is the dove hunting in Sept should be awesome!

Peyton beat me to it. I plant strips of millet (because I have some left over every year) in my food plots only so the peas have something to climb. But have never noticed any heavy usage by the deer.
