Big %#% Rattlesnake

Killed this fella today at about 5:15. Didn't want to shoot him with my rifle so I had to pin him down with a bag of corn and kill him with a branch. He taped out at 6'2" and will be going on the wall. 15 rattles and a button... The head on this snake was crazy big

I killed one that same size at First Point several years ago. I didn't know they got that big, and I wasn't worth a **** the rest of the trip. Kept looking under stuff for his daddy......

One of the best rattle taxi's anywhere is down here in Starr...this one was 6' as well & will take about a year to get back.

I hope your head isn't too damaged if you plan to do a full mount. I killed mine with 38 rat shot & should be ok, but taxi is very particular.
