Do they still have that dumb rule that All Star game winning league has home field in the WS?

Nothing like having a huge chip on your shoulder knowing your fan base doesn't support you.

True, but I think it takes a lot more than the locals to get you voted onto the team. Houston baseball fans can vote all they want but there needs to be a lot of votes for other cities. Trout, Cabrera, etc arent getting all of their votes from their homies. That is where I think the chip comes in......not being given the respect they deserve from others across the nation. Maybe some Tech Guru in Houston can rig the voting process like what happened in KC a few years ago. Then the entire team can be voted in, lol.

And with more votes than George. It shows you how bad the fan voting can be.

Looking at the updated list again, ranger fan must be in disbelief that none of their players are even in the running.

Default 2017 Houston Astros season thread, "Earn it"

Musgrove got pushed back another start. Paulino will get the ball again in his spot. Not much action on here because Of the rangers thread. Good to stay in the loop on what ours guys are doing. Keep rolling boys

What a luxury it is for the team to be able to take such a cautious approach with all of their pitchers. The offense is clicking so well they can afford to do it. I still think Musgrove can be the xfactor for this team down the stretch and into the playoffs.

Peacock too. Plenty of time to get him stretched out to 7+ innings. He has the stuff. I'm starting to think we don't make a move for a SP. Do we need a MOR guy? Will we give up Tucker/Martes for a TOR guy? The answer for me is no right now. Could change before the deadline. A move will be made for LH relief.

After Correa gets player of the month and McCullers got pitcher of the month, Springer follows up with player of the week to start off June. The boys are in a groove right now.

Springer's .500 batting average for the week ranked tied third among all qualified Major League hitters, and his 1.033 slugging percentage was tops in the big leagues, as was his 1.565 OPS. The 27-year-old's 15 hits and five homers during the week also led the Majors.
