    Agreed with this

    Sounds like you have other things to hunt on your lease which may be worth keeping it. You could try your luck on public without letting your lease go.
    If you try the public it might help you with decision about it.

        I grew up hunting family land my entire life. The ranch sold 2 years ago and now I hunt only public land. I really enjoy it more and it is also more challenging. I just try to not take it so serious and just enjoy being out. The price to hunt public is much better than a lease too. It don't matter if it's land you own, or lease there is always going to be some issues about hunting, whether it be bad neighbors, poachers or inconsiderate family or lease members. I'll take public hunting any day!
