Vehicle hit by lightning......Where to start

Lightning hit a tree at work. It jumped from the tree to the antenna on one of our trucks. Fried about 20” off the antenna and melted the antenna wire also. I found the antenna wire inside the cab and it’s still in tact. Parking lights stay on now. When you put the key in and turn forward the windshield wipers are constantly on and the cooling fans turn on also. The truck won’t start. Where do I start??? Main computer??

I would start with a dealership and the insurance adjuster.

Like said above, call insurance. That's gonna be a major headache, to try and track down all the electrical issues now.

I had a Suburban in our fleet that was hit by lightning. It was never the same again. too many bugs in the system to fix.

probably a sure thing the ecm is fried,,,, like others said,, insurance call is the first thing

if youre as afraid of lightening as i am, you will start with prayer, and a change of boxers.

As stated above call your insurance company. A lady I worked with had this happen to her and they ended having to replace the entire electrical system, wires harnesses and all. It never ran the same and I think they sold it soon after.

An ins adjuster I know told me years ago they total lightning hit vehicles....
