This buck was shot in New Ulm, Austin County, and scored 166 with 17 points

Went this morning to check the trail camera and walk around a little bit. Saw 4 does & a decent 8 point around 9:00. For some reason, the trail camera didn't pick up the deer I shot coming across the creek or me shooting it, but it had me walking around looking for blood. Makes perfect sense

I did catch my arch enemies on camera though

I'll have to look at the box. I want to say my Dad looked into it not too long ago, and the particular model we have has been discontinued. It looks very similar to this one, but I want to say ours is IR instead of Black Flash. He did say he read where guys were having problems with the Black Flash model, but I haven't looked into it myself. We've had very good luck with ours.

I sat thanksgiving morning in a yaupon thicket overlooking the creek bottom in Bellville. A total of 7 doe came thru, 4 in one bunch and then a couple of single ladies...zero bucks. My son and I will be back Saturday morning, hoping to get him on a mature buck...we shall see. Last year it was the beginning of December before I saw any secondary rut action with my buck being killed on the 16th

Acorns are finally drying up an my place and the deer are coming back to the feeder.
