      Great shots - you captured it perfectly. Nothing like walking up behind a pointer that is so locked-up he is quivering in anticipation of the flush. Man, I miss that!

        If I could only hunt one thing,one way.....it would be quail behind a good pointer...There is nothing that compares to it...Back when I lived in Brownsville [left there in "71] for the last 5-7 years I was there,we hunted from August thru March in Mexico...White wings,ducks ,geese and WONDERFUL QUAIL>>>>the limits were liberal and the ranch foremen were generous with their permissions to hunt...assisted by a small MORDIDA[tip]...we used to take our dogs and hunt all day with time out for a siesta after lunch...50 birds per man per day wasn't unheard of...usually more like 30-35 tho...wonderful times but no more...not today's conditions down there for me...
