    A knife of different sorts

I have some leftover exotic wood from the longbows I have been building. I came across an idea I decided to do. I am in the process of building a wooden cake knife out of Macassar Ebony with Gaboon Ebony handle. I figured this would make a nice surprise gift for my Aunt who enjoys making cakes as a retirement hobby/business. I have the knife rough shaped right now and will finish shaping when I get more time but thought I would go ahead and post it on here now and show the finish pics later when I get around to finishing it up. I thought this might give someone on here ideas for themselves.

To be honest I haven't a clue. I used and old knife we had as the pattern. When I decided to build this one I didn't have any particular design I was planning on using.

Finished the cake knife up today and just got through seasoning the wood with Howard butcher block conditioner. Came out pretty neat.
