Havent found many margarita recipes or martini recipes that this is not good in. Add a splash and you get a sweet taste followed by the bite of the jalepeno.
1 cup water
1 cup sugar( I prefer brown cane sugar in the raw)
3- 4 jalapenos, sliced in half lengthwise and seeded
Place the water in the pan along with the jalapenos. bring to a boil then reduce heat. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Let cool then store. I keep mine in a mason jar and in the fridge. Here is one recipe that we really like.

Pricky Pear Vodka Maragarita
3 shots Prickly Pear Vodka
1 shot Triple sec
1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
1 oz Jalapeno simple syrup.
Mix in shaker and pour.
