Davy Crockett Closed until further notice

Looks like its going to be LBJ for me then. Saw 4 does this morning in a spot I used last year just for morning hunts

I called today and they confirmed that the davy crockett national forest is closed to all recreation including hunting,camping and hiking...

Yeah, I called this morning as well. Was told the same thing. THE ENTIRE FORREST IS CLOSED UNTIL WE TELL YOU OTHERWISE. I asked them if they had any ideas yet of when it might be open and they said trees were down everywhere, they have no power, and the roads are blocked but the crews are working on it.

Looks like there will be an army of orange in the LBJ grasslands this year.

How many of you guys going to alazon bayou WMA, or angelina national forest instead, anyone know of a closer public land to davey crockett. Anyone out there been to the robertson county public land just south of lake limestone?
