I heard it second hand from a guy that hunts in that area. Sounded like the kid got wind of the deer and where it was using. He slipped in there, scouted around and killed it with a rifle (not season, yet). It also was not on a place he had permission to be, so double whammy.

Temptation got to him. I won’t lie for a second and say that I wouldn’t be tempted by a buck like that, but you have to know that their could be bad consequences!

It is a shame that it wasn’t killed legally, because I’m sure it would have won some contests. They said it was like 220”.
