My release also stays strapped to my bow handle if it's not on my wrist, even when I put my bow in the case. That way if I forget other stuff at least I still have the essentials to get the job done.

Don’t think I forgot anything, but definitely felt rusty. Glad I have a lot of weeks to knock the cobwebs off before my Kansas trip and before rut starts here. Didn’t get busted or mess anything up, but wasn’t comfortable or in rhythm. Felt like it had been a couple years instead of a few months...

Man that sucks. I’ve been there too, too excited to hunt. I start a checklist before going and make sure everything is in the truck before heading out. After a few hunts my autopilot sets in and the list isn’t needed anymore.
