Alright, Green Screen. Wife and I decided on a spontaneous trip to Idaho Springs and Rocky Mtn National Park next week with our seven month old daughter and our dog. Help us with some ideas of places to go while there.

Just drove through there an hour ago. There was some sort of zip line outfit just west of town. Had rafting it looked like. Think I saw some sort of mine tour also. Looked neat.

They have a pretty good brewery in the middle of town (Tommy Knocker Brewery), and also be sure to stop and get some "Colorado Style Pizza" at Beau Jo's. That's always our stop on way back down to Denver after a day on the mountain.

I have also done a white water rafting trip out of Idaho Springs, and that was a good time.

Definitely hit Beau Jo's. The pizza's worth the wait.

We are going to be there three nights. So far Beau Jo’s is a for sure and we have some trails picked out at Rocky Mtn National Park. Keep the recommendations coming! Remember we have a baby with us so anything family friendly helps too.

St. Mary's Alice is a cool little hike. Think it's just 1.5 miles r/t. There is a train at Georgetown too, if I recall?
I just got back from Breck. Weather is great up there right now.

I love that town. Tommy knocker for beer and apps. We wanted to do river rafting but it was dead of winter last year when we went. There are some casinos north of town but can't recommend them, didn't make the trip. Coopers on the creek in Georgetown was really good. Beau Jo's was excellent we got it to go.

Not Idaho springs but if you go the pass thru Winter Park stop in Frasier and try Frasier Dogs. I suggest the elk brat it's worth the try. Neat little town to walk up and down street, shopping etc. Bike rentals if you feel adventurous. Amazing country through that route! Enjoy your trip. Hydrate hydrate hydrate.
