We have had it happen 4 times in the last month. 3 coons and 1 skunk. The skunk was half eaten and about 30 yards away from the trap. We currently have 6 traps out and we catch at least one every night when we're are at the lease.

Wouldnt bother me at all if I never see him again, but it would be kind of cool to catch him again.

How about double coyote ugly. That's where you chew your arm off to escape and when you get down the road, you chew your other arm off cause she'll be looking for a one arm man.

I have had it happen few times with Dukes. I think it’s if it breaks the bone like with a spring trap.

Really? That is a first for me. I have found a few toes and claws in my Z Traps and have never caught those unique critters again. Maybe they go off and die, but after having find toes and claws in traps, I have been looking closely at the ones I have trapped. Never a return customer in my experience.
