    6.2L Chevy OR 5.7 Tundra

    Which one:

6.2L Chevy LTZ OR 5.7L Toy Tundra (TRD).

I am looking for good on-demand power/torque for hauling and decent mileage (14/18 or better).

    Thoughts? Thanks!

    I would get the 6.2 myself...I have a company 3/4 2011 6.0 with 296,000 going strong.

Nothing against the toyo but if it doesn't have a huge gas tank for these big engines...no thanks.

      I would take the 6.2.
I like the tundra, but I think every manufacture has passed it in the power department.

I believe they now offer a 38 gallon tank.

My sister has the 6.2 in her Yukon and has had problem after problem with it. It is a 2011 though, maybe they have fixed it since then.

Tundra. More power than you think.

                        I didn't think so.

The 2014+ is a completely new motor.

I have a 2011 5.3 LTZ and the only thing I wish I had changed about it was getting the 6.2.
Have a cousin with a tundra and he said it drinks the gas. The 6.2 probably would too, but I'm known to put the pedal down

I've got a 17 LTZ 6.2 4x4 with 6K miles. Avg 17 mpg in town and highway. That's putting pen to paper not the dash. 265/75-18 DuraTracs from day one. One thing is for sure, you step on it and it will peel wheels. This 8 speed has 3.23 gears but I think with 420 at the flywheel you'd still do good pulling. I've yet to pull a trailer with it so I don't know how that would affect mpg.
