Our Fire Marshal/EMS Director retired a few months back and we decided to give him a little gift. We have a huge amount of respect and pride in him, so we wanted to do something that would reflects that. We wanted something that was not "store" bought, or anything anyone around here had. We (the guys from the firehouse) came up with an idea and drew it out on a piece of paper at the station. It took me roughly 1 month of working on my days off to complete it. I'm no carpenter at all; I know it's not perfect. Long story short, he loved it when we surprised him with it to the point of crying for a brief moment. This project meant more to me than anything I've ever built before. I just wish I had more pics..
