    First Aoudad with bow

Last Weekend was a blast out at my Grandad's ranch in the paloduro canyon. Started off cold, rainy, and with a hiccup on Friday evening, hiccup = shattered the drivers side window of my buddies brand new (less than 200 miles) chevy 2500 truck he just paid cash for less than 45 min into our arrival.

Anyways weekend got a lot better, we saw a bunch of wildlife, whitetail & mule deer, quail, and of course Aoudad. Got my two buds on their first Aoudad (ewes) Saturday after I got his window replaced in Amarillo.

Sunday AM was my turn... I shot my first Aoudad with a bow at 20 yds, recovered her at 40 yards! she's a she but im happy with her and will be a memorable trophy in my books for year to come. Will be making jerky with the meat we got from each. After a ram on my next hunt out there.

Outstanding pictures. That place is incredible. I can see why the indians used the canyon as a refuge from the wind and storms on the panhandle prairie. Congratulations on your success in getting one or more with bow and arrow.
