i will be replacing the hot dogs with some type of sausage links.
Carlton's sausage is great in the bean pot. I have used that in the past.
There are also some higher quality wieners on the market as well.
I will get after it on Friday, [teacher workday] and let the green know how it turns out.

Will do, actually had a cold front come thru over the weekend and temp was in upper 70's. Unusually cool even for Md.

Sometimes as a side and other times as a meal. I use a higher ratio of bacon and use sausage versus hotdogs however. I typically use about a pound of bacon plus a pound of sausage for about 1.5 pounds of beans.
