How long does it take for deer to get used to a feed pen ?

In East Tx it most likely is for skiddish deer. Does always take to them first has been my experience. I have does/yearlings jump into mine in about a week-ten days. But, you have nothing to lose if the hogs are already ruining the area.

Put it up and build it big

Take the pen materials and build a hog trap, a large one. We’ve trapped 35 in two weeks.

I've only put them up in E Texas and in less than a week the deer were in them in both places.

Put a new one up last Sunday afternoon and the deer were in it Monday morning.

I asked the same question when I added a pen a week before the bow opener. Deer were back within 2-3 days. We made a round pen with hog panels about 40ft in diameter.

No, they adjust. Built this one in August, it almost lasted 3 weeks and needs to be re-built.

Put one up two weeks ago, first i have ever used. 3 deer were in it this morning, haven’t checked the camera card yet but curious to see how quickly they started jumping in.
