Starting a roof rack build. First step will be to fab some gutter mounts out of 1/8x2” flat bar. Will need 6.

Got the hole drilled and temporary bolt good test fit. I think that will work. 5 more to fab up. But right now it’s beer thirty. Take a break

We did that once when we put a lift on a jeep my son had. We had to remove the roof rack to get the jeep out of the garage. The rack I'm building will be much lower than the rack sitting on there now. The gutter mounts will be trimmed down

Progress. Got first piece done. 50x67. Welding 14 gauge steel. Top half is cut and ready to weld.

Top half completed. Little grinder work. Then cut and weld cross members. Probably put flat extended metal for the bottom.

FINISHED!! Now got to weld to gutter mounts I made. Paint and wait for the lights to come in. Putting a 32” light bar up front and two 4” on the rear end.
