Why v-mesh wire for cottonseed feeders?

What is so good about the v mesh wire? It's so expensive and you have to buy a full roll. Is there any downside to using 2x4 welded wire?

What are you using it for? V mesh is lots stronger than welded wire

We used the 2x4 welded wire and made around 25 total cages. They are 4 years old now and still going strong no problems at all.

I’ve never heard of v-mesh. If you search the old threads most on here are using the 2x4 wire . Good luck to you .

The V- Mesh is much more durable n flexible. I've used 2x4 wire n it bends up pretty bad but yes it will last until u get tired of trying to straighten it out. Either one does the job!

I just wrapped chicken wire around regular net wire. Now if you were making enough for 10-15 feeders then yes a roll of horse fence would probably be ok.
