Near as I can tell, he is complaining about follow thru with shoot advertising.
Someone will say, "come shoot with us, it'll be fun"
Then no longer give info on said shoot.

But I could be wrong...it has happened before

Funny... when I read it again, I finally think I got it too. Was about to post the same thing when I saw your post.

Yeah, I think it is either one of two things..

advertising a shoot and promising it will be good and then it flubs or

moving the date on a good shoot and then that shoot fails because of the new date.

Truer words were never spoken. Also if you have a problem with the way a shoot has been run, step up and run your own or at least offer to help with the problem shoot.
